"I would like to put it on record that the Washington Photo Safari sessions that I took hugely influenced my drastic career shift. The modules taught me concepts in exposure value and white balance, and these alone led to significant improvement in technique. Through proper technique, I was able to discover my creative potential and convince myself that I need to take the big plunge. All the photos that comprised my portfolio for admission to Speos had a touch of WPS in them. I have recommend WPS to all my friends who say they want to explore concepts in photographic technique without making huge upfront investments in time and money."

As seen on the NBC “Today” Show, Washington Photo Safari™ takes participants around the monuments of the nation’s capital, using these landmarks as “models” to teach basic tips in travel photography: composition, lighting, exposure, outdoor portraits, candids, and even indoor photography without flash. A professional photographer accompanies the participants and helps them find the best angles for every shot. Participants bring their own cameras and film. Any camera is acceptable, from disposable to digital. Founded in 1999, Washington Photo Safari™ has trained over 12,000 people in the techniques of travel photography.
A group photo safari makes a great office outing and team-building program. Or, how about a photo safari in the nation’s capital for your incoming convention and association meetings? All this is possible through our Washington Photo Safari Group Program, where we tailor a special photo excursion to your group’s needs and interests, on a date convenient to your organization. We can do groups from 16 to 75 people, with attractive discounts that get even better as the group gets larger. To give the most attention to every participant, we provide one professional photographer-instructor for every 20 persons attending.
